| In 2002, a report by the Alberta Research Council identified major gaps in the knowledge required to enhance lodgepole pine growth and yield through nutrition and density management. In 2003, the Association successfully submitted a project proposal for addressing these gaps to the Open Funds Initiative of the Forest Resource Improvement Association of Alberta. Work on this project commenced in 2004. |
